Prayer - Part 5
As we continue to grow in our understanding of prayer, we learn that prayer is all about a relationship and communication with God. I have come to realize that prayer is magnified as we pray for one another because it a powerful agent for doing good to others. But the question that I often hear is, "How exactly do we pray 'for' someone else?"
Colossians 1:9-12 gives a clear example of how we can intercede for each other. It really doesn't matter what the prayer request may be, if we follow this example we can pray for anyone at anytime even if we know what is going on or not.
I encourage us as a group of college/young adults to take this passage of Scripture and apply it to our lives as we pray for one another. Pray this prayer:
That we will walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to the His glorious power, for all patience and long suffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
